Agatha Heterodyne by Phil Foglio is a graphic novel that first came out in 2002. It's set in an alternate steampunk Victorian age, in Europe. Agatha is a "spark", a techno-person...or is she? Everything she makes falls apart or blows up. And then she gets mugged in an alley, and things go from bad to worse. Can she get her beloved locket back? And what is the clank (robot) that shows up in her parents' workshop?
This is a fun, action-filled series of graphic novels that collect the online comic. There's also a novel that has just been released. I've got that "on order" for the library. I absolutely love this GN! I'd give it five stars.
