Sovay by Celia Rees -- Sovay is both a rich young lady and a highwayman, struggling to prove her father and brother innocent of treason, in England in 1793, as her nation is at war with Revolutionary France.

Surprisingly, Sakuragi seems to have a natural talent for the game and targets Haruko's crush as his personal rival.
