UpComing Events

This March we will have our usual Spring Break activities going on, but on a slightly different schedule than normal...

On Friday, March 13, we will show a movie. The title of the movie is still a big secret, but it will relate to the "One Book, One Waco" book for the Spring, which will be announced in a few days. Free popcorn will be served, and all families are welcome to attend

On Saturday, March 14, we will have an afternoon of gaming fun, with all the usual suspects, including the Gamecube (Mario Kart, Naruto, SSB), Wii (SSB Brawl, Wii sports, etc...) and Playstation with DDR. Free Snack; open to all tweens and teens 11-17.

We've also started planning for the summer - the Teen Reading Club theme this year will be "Time Twistin'" and we intend to focus on Time Travel and Outer Space. But we're having trouble choosing what sorts of events we'd like to try to offer. Would you prefer
  • Crafts - either make-and-take or an organized craft program
  • Writing workshop (poetry or fiction or essays)
  • Computer Tech workshop (for example make your own movie, create a podcast, etc...)
  • something else entirely?
(Don't worry, we WILL have the Thursday Night Gaming Tournament, as always, and at least one Saturday Game Day for families).

We're also contemplating having an "End of Summer" party for all those who complete the Summer Reading Club. If we offered one, would you come? Would you prefer a band, dancing, gaming, or something else?
